Customer loyalty through different marketing approaches

In a business scenario, customers love the following words: discounts, offers, freebies, packages, rewards, loyalty cards...

To attract customers, (mostly retail) companies introduce loyalty and rewards programs as they feel exclusive offers and ‘money off’ deals would create a base of loyal customers.

Loyalty program/cards help to influence purchase decisions and to understand customer behavior. Repeat visits and consumer preferences even make companies plan and restructure marketing strategies.

With a lot of product brands around, companies should not continue with any standard business strategy and should try different customer approaches.

For success in business, does your enterprise stick only to loyalty cards and programs or try direct marketing, Internet and telemarketing and other effective promotional tactics?
